Date and new name of "The Wilderness of James"

Screen Media Films has acquired all North American distribution rights to writer-director Michael Johnson's debut feature "All The Wilderness." Formerly titled "The Wilderness of James," the coming-of-age story received positive reviews at its 2014 South by Southwest premiere and features Kodi Smit-McPhee opposite Virginia Madsen, Danny DeVito, Evan Ross and Isabelle Fuhrman.

Smit-McPhee stars as James, an isolated young boy who falls into a world of dark imagination following the disappearance of his father. After visits with his psychiatrist (DeVito) prove unsuccessful, James rebels against his single mother (Madsen) and takes to the streets. He ultimately befriends a mysterious kid (Ross) who helps him navigate the eccentric city and wrestle with the reality of his own personal wilderness.

"This is a terrific indie film with very compelling performances," said Seth Needle of Screen Media. "It showcases a strong filmmaking debut from Michael Johnson, who will be on everyone’s radar for years to come."

Screen Media Films ha adquirido todos los derechos de distribución norteamericanos del debut de Michael Johnson's llamado "All The Wilderness." En sus inicios titulado "The Wilderness of James," recibió críticas positivas en la premiere de South by Southwest 2014 y en su reparto se encuentran Kodi Smit-McPhee opposite Virginia Madsen, Danny DeVito, Evan Ross e Isabelle Fuhrman.

Smit-McPhee representa a nuestro protagonista James, un joven chico aislado que cae en el mundo de la oscura imaginación mientras sigue la desaparición de su padre. Después de que visitar a su psiquiatra (DeVito) y fuera un fracaso, James se rebela contra su madre soltera (Madsen) y se va a las calles.
